Education

For primary school it costs $800/year and for secondary school it is $1300/year. Children who finish secondary school can continue to college and trade schools with the help of continued sponsorships. See further below for children currently needing sponsors. 

Chicken Project

$10,000 will cover the cost to buy and care for 2000 egg-laying chickens. Children will learn to care for the chickens and the eggs will be sold in their surrounding community for ongoing profits. Expected profits to be $300 monthly to cover orphanage expenses. 

Osiligi currently has 300 non-egg laying chickens that they sell for profit and buy more chickens. The orphanage personally uses 4 chickens weekly for food for the children. 

Livestock Project

Active - Osiligi current has 3 cows, two of which are pregnant. They will soon have 5 cows. They sell the milk and also use the milk for the children. They will continue to use the cows for milk. 

Water Needs

​Osiligi currently has 4 water tanks, they need 4 more. Water tanks are important as it provides consistent access to clean water that is used for drinking, cooking, bathing, and cleaning. Each tank costs $550, so a total donation amount of $2200 would meet this need. 

Wall Project

The orphanage was newly constructed in 2016. They are still in need of $7600 to finish building a wall around the orphanage property. This cost covers all expenses including materials and labor. The wall is important for safety of the children and protection of the animals, like the cows and chickens.
